CEO of the McSwane Group, Marcie specializes in numerous client issues including health care, tax, disability, special education, oceans and telecommunications. Marcie represents the interests of her clients before Congress and helps them manage their issues by monitoring and analyzing current and forthcoming legislation and other Congressional and regulatory activities. She is highly effective in reaching key decision makers, informing them of the interests and perspectives of her clients.
An active member of the National Republican Club of Capitol Hill (Capitol Hill Club), Marcie serves on the Gala Committee, House Committee, and Special Events Committee. She co-chairs an event honoring the state of Texas and a successful quarterly networking event geared towards connecting Hill staffers, lobbyists, and relative industry groups.
Prior to starting The McSwane Group, Marcie worked at the Downey McGrath Group, a bi-partisan government relations firm under the leadership of former Congressmen Tom Downey and Ray McGrath, allowing her to lobby both sides of the aisle. One of Marcie’s most notable achievements was working on behalf of the Disabled Veterans Life Memorial. Marcie coordinated the efforts of Federal and local government agencies, Congress, and private sector entities for four years, allowing work on the Memorial in the heart of Washington to come to fruition.
Marcie began her career in DC on Capitol Hill where she worked for two senior Members of the House of Representatives. During her time on the Hill, Marcie developed expertise in agriculture and science and technology issues.
