Details: Recent controversies in Washington, DC and beyond have highlighted the importance of ethics to the work of association government relations and advocacy professionals. With thousands of associations working to influence public policy and drive change at the state, local, and national level, it is critical that associations and those who represent them carry out their advocacy work ethically, transparently, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
During this session we will explore real life case studies of unethical lobbying behavior, review the ' rules of the road' for association government relations and advocacy professionals, and lead a discussion of best practices for avoiding ethical conflicts of interest.
